WATER PAINTINGS Description & Statement The eight posts between Congress and Summer Bridge in the water have been receiving the marking by the rising and falling of the tide in Boston Bay. The water created eight beautiful paintings on the post, each one a different image of a landscape. This project uses a large wooden Frame (8 feet by 10 feet) to frame one of the above-described nature-made "paintings". In order to emphasize on this particular "Painting", seven large sand paintings (8 feet by 10 feet) are simultaneously installed on the other posts to "accompany" the main subject. At the end of the exhibition, Yin removed this particular "Painting" from the post by rubbing off the green algae; thereby, portray a different scene on the building post so that the other natural made "paintings" will stand out from then on. |
